A good friend of mine recently gave me a quote which I have been meditating on. It is rich. "Humility is a form of wisdom. It is thinking clearly. It is simply being realistic. it's knowing who really deserves the credit and the glory for what we do." by Drayton Nabers in The Case  for Character.

So much of my younger years were spent seeking the glory for myself, trying to make a name for myself.. but as the years have gone by and my eyes get opened more and more I see how shallow this truly is. We were made for His glory, to give Him glory and when we understand this it changes everything from the way we treat people to the what we do when no one is looking. As it says in Psalm 29. "Ascribe to the Lord the glory and strength.  Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name."  Amen and Amen
