all in outsideMockupOn Sunday, June 2nd, we had a church wide meeting with the Elders, Staff, and Architects to discuss the conceptual plans for our new facility. (Old Kohler Building) Some of the topics discussed were as follows:

  • History of where we have been
  • The Conceptual viewing of the Outside and Inside of our Facility.
  • Where we are financially in the All In Side of things.
  • The opportunities we have with the other 120,000 Sq. feet of the building.
    • Will be For Sale Or Lease.
  • We also had a Q/A time.
  • We then all went to the new facility and toured the building and layout.

kohlerFor two years we have waited patiently on the Lord in relation to purchasing the Kohler building located on Beebe-Capps across from Harding University. We are currently under contract with them to purchase the property conditioned upon rezoning and environmental studies.

Our most recent update: December 2017

Kohler has met with the ADEQ ( Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality) and come up with a plan to move forward on any clean up that is necessary. The findings have shown that there are only minor things that need to be done to satisfy the ADEQ. A few more tests are needing to be done and they hope to have it all accomplished by March of 2018. So we continue to pray and wait on the Lord for His will and timing.

On July 16th, 2017, the Fellowship Bible Church Board of Elders met with the body to discuss a status update on the possibility of purchasing the Kohler Building on Beebe-Capps Expressway in Searcy, AR.  Topics discussed included, but were not limited to, the following:

  • Contact Negotiations
  • The Sale of our Land on Main Street
  • Best Case Scenarios

Kohler Building Update - July 2017

The Kohler Building on Beebe Capps has come available to us in a lease (interest free) to own with a purchase price of $1.5 million over 10 years ($7.50/sq ft).  The Kohler Building is on 12 acres as opposed to our current land, which is 8 acres (which results in a 50% increase).

100% of the money paid would go to paying down the loan and we would have total control of the building with the right to make any improvements to fit our needs.

To build out the Kohler Building would require $2.4 million (30,000 sq ft @ $80/sq ft).  This would require us to raise approximately 1.2 million from the body as opposed to approximately $3.8 million to be in the same square footage on our current land.  (If we borrowed $950,000 then we need to raise $2.85 million.)

Current assets are roughly $1.4 million ($700,000 in the bank, $500,000 to $700,000 sale value of land).
