Something Old Something New

To truly appreciate the truths of the New Testament, we must have a grasp on the Old Testament gems that are waiting to be found. The Old Testament gets little respect these days mainly because we don’t understand the major themes that are at play and how the gospel story is woven through out its pages. In this series we want to pull something new out of something old.

Contagious Faith

Is your faith contagious? Webster defines it as "exciting similar emotions and conduct in others." I think we could add our belief in Christ to that definition as well. Verbalizing our faith is not the only thing but it is at the top of Jesus list of why we are on this planet. After all, His last words as he ascended into heaven were, " You shall be my witnesses". Yet it is not a one size fits all approach. God has wired you with gifts and personality that can draw others to Him. In this series we will unpack the various styles of sharing your faith and bring clarity as to your style.

Marks of a Disciple

Jesus calls us to be disciples and then commands us to go make disciples. So what does that look like? In this series we will uncover this foundational aspect of the Christian life. Join us as we look at loving Jesus, imitating Jesus, abiding in his Word, stewarding our resources, denying self, reconciling through the cross, and reflecting Christ's love

Home for Christmas

Home for Christmas... Just the thought can surface a wide variety of emotions based upon where we are in life or the kind of memories we have. There is something about Christmas time that tends to elevate whatever we are experiencing. Disappointment can be daunting, Stress can be overwhelming, Sadness can be consuming and Joy can be exhilarating. In this series we will dive into these different emotions hopefully to find the heart of Christmas.

1 Corinthians

Corinth was a thriving coastal city that prided itself with its rich history, freedom of thought and eclectic population. It was a city that personified the description found in Judges, "Everyone did what was right in their own eyes." In this setting, Paul planted an imperfect church made up of imperfect people. Their struggle to be a healthy church is not foreign to us. As we look into Paul's first letter, we will learn how to "be the church" in our cultural moment. Join us as we mine God's Word for truths to guide us on the journey.

Faith Foundations

The goal of Bible doctrine isn't that we would know more (information) but that our hearts would be oriented toward a greater love for God (transformation). This summer we will journey through a series called, Faith Foundations. We will look at 12 foundational doctrines and their application to everyday living. Join us as we dig deep into these life changing truths.

Encounters with Jesus

What makes Jesus so different? Who do we say that He is? Why would He do that? Why does He need to be our first love? We will spend our lives getting to know Jesus on a deeper level. Is it possible that we have some preconceived ideas that aren’t correct? Let’s dig deep to encounter Jesus as we look into his life from the Gospels of John and Luke.

1 Samuel

The people of God struggled from the moment they set foot in the promise land, so God provided judges who would lead them in the ways of the Lord. Unfortunately, the external temptations proved to be too difficult, and the people continued to compromise and desired to be more like the nations around them who all had a king to lead them. The Lord relented and allowed them to have an earthly king, but of course they chose what looked like the best man but in the end proved disastrous. Join us as we journey through the book of first Samuel and see how God opposes the proud, gives grace to the humble and works His plan in spite of the evil ways of man.
